SIDEARM test
Tonight's baseball game with Kansas has been moved to a 4:30 p.m. start due to weather concerns.
Omaha is playing host to the Jayhawks at Tal Anderson Field for the second straight night. The Mavericks won Tuesday night's game 9-0 as starter Harrison Kreiling and two relievers combined on a two-hitter.
Wednesday's nonconference matchup will be the third between the teams this season. Omaha won the first meeting 11-10 in Lawrence, Kan., on April 12 on two-run homer by Mike Boeve in the ninth inning.
Right-hander Parker Weddle (0-0) is scheduled to start on the mound for Omaha Wednesday while the Jayhawks will counter with lefty Sam Brady (0-3).
Former Maverick football coach Sandy Buda, who played both football and baseball at Kansas, is schedule to throw out the first pitch prior to the game.
