Omaha Athletics

Strength & Conditioning

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the University of Nebraska Omaha Strength & Conditioning Department is to positively impact all student-athletes. Our department aims to accomplish this by helping our student-athletes achieve their goals as they relate to their individual athletic endeavors. The department utilizes ground-based, three-dimensional, multi-joint movements to facilitate each athlete's goals. Athletics are performed in all plans of motion with the athlete's feet on the ground. We as a department strive to train in the same fashion. More specifically, we strive to prepare our student-athletes for their individual sport by providing a program that will prevent injury, improve strength, speed, power, agility, balance, coordination, mobility, conditioning and mental toughness. In addition, we strive to reinforce the mission of our athletic department and university by providing the highest quality teaching and learning experience, assisting our student-athletes in becoming successful after their athletic careers. We accomplish this by encouraging responsibility, discipline, hard work and respect for one another.
