Sigman Gains 4th NCC Weekly Honor
Heavyweight Les Sigman has been named one of the North Central Conference's wrestlers of the week for a fourth time this season. Sigman shares the honor with Augustana's Cody Henriksen.
Sigman won his 67th consecutive match Feb. 15 when he scored a fall in the final bout to break a tie and give the Mavericks a 23-17 win over Augustana. The victory clinched UNO's seventh North Central Conference title and the first undefeated season in 36 years.
The Mavericks will host the NCAA Division II North Regional tournament Sunday, Feb. 26, at Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse.
