Adrian Dowell announced Tuesday that
Camden Stockton has been appointed senior associate athletic director of external affairs. Stockton begins his role on June 9.
"We are excited to welcome Camden to Omaha to lead our external affairs division," said Dowell. "Camden delivers a wealth of experience in intercollegiate athletics and has consistently led productive external units at numerous Division I institutions. His successful background in resource generation will be especially impactful as we position our organization for this new era of college athletics."
Stockton will have macro-oversight over the external affairs unit including: communications, community relations, creative services, game presentation/video production, sports marketing, ticketing operations and liaise with the athletics development office, Omaha Sports Properties and NIL partners.

A nationally proven resource generator, Stockton joins the Mavericks from Akron where he led the Zips Athletic Club and Akron ticket office as senior associate athletic director. In three years with the Zips, Stockton established the Summit Circle, totaling 50 commitments for more than $9 million in philanthropic contributions to Akron Athletics.
Stockton worked closely with the Fear the Roo Collective, facilitating a high-level FBS name, image and likeness (NIL) collective that ranks at the top of the Mid-American Conference.
Creating new opportunities for student-athletes in a changing landscape, Stockton secured a $1.3 million gift to fully fund Akron baseball scholarships, enabling the team to offer up to 11.7 scholarships to student-athletes.
Continuing to develop the holistic student-athlete experience, Stockton was instrumental in the Wentz Financial Player Development Center project, the facility dedicated to Akron's basketball programs.
Akron Athletics experienced record ticketing revenue growth across multiple sports during Stockton's tenure with Zips men's basketball revenue increasing by 18 percent and football revenue experiencing a 19 percent growth. New revenue for Akron men's basketball during his tenure increased 42 percent.
Group sales for Zips athletic events increased 87 percent for men's basketball, 23 percent for football and 82 percent for men's soccer, increasing fan engagement and attendance.
Prior to Akron, Stockton served as associate athletic director of development at Fresno State where he secured the naming gift for the Morse Wittwer Sport Performance Center, increased the number of athletic endowments by 50 percent and established the Meyers Champions Circle major giving society.
Stockton spent two years at Long Beach State, overseeing development and ticketing offices, as well as the special events staff. Stockton secured a gift of $1.8 million for Bohl Diamond at Blair Field renovations, the largest cash gift in LBSU history. He served as project manager for the renovations, including: conception, design, vendor contracts and fundraising.
Before heading west, Stockton spent nearly five years at TCU, finishing his tenure with the Horned Frogs as assistant director of development – annual fund.
Stockton graduated from Truman State with a bachelor's degree in 2011 before earning a Master of Business Administration and Master of Sport Management at West Virginia in 2014.
