The Omaha women's tennis team fell in a close 4-3 dual against Valparaiso on Saturday afternoon.
The Mavericks picked up the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and 3 spot.
Khayli Buckels picked up another win in the No. 3 singles.
"What a good collegiate tennis match," said head coach
Adam Summitt. "I thought both teams competed well and fought hard, we just came up short on a few courts. Doubles were the most impressive for us. We played aggressive and smart. Zoe had a great comeback win, down 1-5 in the third, and fought off 4 match points to win it. Good experience for us overall."
The Mavericks will resume conference play against North Dakota on Sunday, March 24 at 10 a.m.
