OMAHA, Neb. (July 12, 2023) – Buildertrend, the leading residential construction management platform, has committed to a multi-year sponsorship of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Athletics Department, the two organizations announced today.

As part of the new agreement, the club seating hospitality area at Baxter Arena will now be known as the Buildertrend Breakaway Lounge.

Serving as the official home for UNO hockey, men's and women's basketball and volleyball, Baxter Arena is one of the region's premier entertainment venues and has elevated the profile of Omaha Athletics by showcasing the talents of Maverick student-athletes.

Additionally, the 7,500-seat arena brings greater visibility to UNO through a variety of campus and community events and provides broader benefits to the Omaha metropolitan area with entertainment such as concerts, youth hockey, figure skating, curling, charitable events, corporate events and more.

Transformation of the Buildertrend Breakaway Lounge at Baxter Arena has already begun, with the full installation being completed ahead of the 2023 UNO Volleyball season, which kicks off on August 24, 2023.

About Baxter Arena
Baxter Arena opened to the public October 2015 and is the end product of a joint community and university partnership led by Heritage Services of Omaha. The joint partnership raised $90 million for its construction and additional infrastructure improvements. The arena is a vibrant community asset, serving as the home of University of Nebraska Omaha hockey, men's and women's basketball and volleyball. The building also serves the community by holding concerts, civic events, campus recreation, youth hockey, figure skating and curling.

The building seats approximately 7,500 and features a competition/event arena as well as the Holland Ice Community Rink, named in honor of the late Dick Holland, Omaha resident and lead donor to the project.
