The Omaha Mavericks fell 5-2 to the No. 63 Denver Pioneers this afternoon in Denver, Colorado.

"We came up short in the duel today, but I thought we competed hard and left it all out there," Omaha head coach Matt Barlow said. "Denver is a great team and I hope we can see them again in the post season next week."

The Mavericks were able to jump out to a 1-0 lead in today's duel when they secured the doubles point over DU. The pairings of Ryoma Mishiro/Mikhail Korkunov and Hugo Piles Ballester/Alvaro Quintana took care of business winning their matches 6-3 and 7-5 respectively. In singles, Quintan Van Wijk won his team leading 16th singles match. That win ranks him second in the Summit League.

Omaha finishes the regular season 13-10 which is four wins better than last season. They will now turn their sights towards Tulsa, Oklahoma, the site of the Summit League tournament which gets underway next Saturday, April 22.
