The Omaha Women's Tennis Team wrapped up a weekend at Miracle Hill Tennis Center. They battled Georgetown hard on Friday but were edged 4-3 and then fell to DePaul 6-1 the next afternoon. Full results from both matches are listed below.

On Friday, the Mavericks secured the doubles point with the duos of Ines Absisan/Zoe Adkins and Jessica Aragon/Keegan VanPelt winning their matches. Absisan and Adkins both won their singles matches to get Omaha to three points. Adkins now leads all Mavericks with seven singles wins.

"Our goal today was to have a 180 from Tuesday. I'm proud to say the team really flipped a switch from that," Omaha head coach Adam Summitt said. We played really well, and confident. We switched up some doubles teams and things really seemed to click."

Despite playing great all match against DePaul, Jessica Aragon was the lone point getter for the Mavericks yesterday. She went 6-3, 6-1 to secure her singles point.

"Great effort versus DePaul. DePaul was a formidable opponent and they are good. I will not be surprised to see them in the rankings at some point," Summitt said. But that being said, we played some of our best tennis this year. DePaul played really well at some key points to put us in trouble. They have a lot of experience and that showed. None the less, still proud of our fight and energy. Coming off the courts, we were upset we didn't win. But it reaffirmed if we continue to play like this, it'll pay dividends."

Omaha will get their first look at conference play next weekend when they hit the road to take on the Denver Pioneers on March 4 in their only action of the weekend.
