McKenna Ruch is tabbed the TicketSmarter Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week for the opening week of the 2022 season.
Last week, Ruch had an outstanding showing through three matches in the Carolina Classic, leading all players in both the event and the Summit League with 22 blocks and 2.00 blocks per set. She also set a career single-game best with 12 blocks against Sacred Heart on August 27. A day prior, Ruch picked up five blocks apiece against Winthrop and South Carolina.
This is the third weekly honor of Ruch's career, having earned the award twice in 2021.
