Set by Set (19-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-21)
- St. Thomas won its first ever set against the Mavericks in a surprising first. Despite Shayla McCormick kicking off the day with a kill for Omaha, the Tommies would go on to take a 10-5 lead, culminating with a 4-0 scoring run. The Mavericks managed to get within one at 14-15 after McCormick picked up a couple more kills while Mariah Murdie and McKenna Ruch each notched a kill and a block. Brynlee Arnold would keep it at a one-point deficit with her first career kill to make it 17-18. Unfortunately, the Tommies responded with another 4-0 run and rode it to a six-point victory in set one.
- Omaha came out strong in set two, taking a quick 9-2 lead capped off by six unanswered points. Kali Jurgensmeier was dominant at the net during this stretch, scoring back-to-back kills immediately followed by back-to-back blocks. Later, Brilee Wieseler would give Omaha a 14-4 lead after scoring two service aces in a row. Marriah Buss and Rachel Fairbanks would both score a pair of kills later in the set to tie the match. Of course, the biggest thing to happen this set would come at 19-6, when Sami Clarkson perfectly set up McCormick for another kill. With this assist, Clarkson moved into fifth on Omaha's all-time assists leader board at 3952.
- Set three saw another dominant performance from the Mavericks as they led 15-7 halfway through. Buss had another four kills in the half, while Ruch and McCormick both had two. After the Tommies scored a couple of points to make it 15-9, Omaha came right back with six straight points, including a kill and an ace from McCormick. From there, Buss picked up three more kills before Fairbanks finished off the Tommies for the second set in a row with one last kill.
- For a while, set four seemed like it would be another quick one for Omaha as it came out to an 11-6 lead, peaking with back-to-back aces from Ruch. The Mavericks lead would grow to 17-7 following a Jaiden Centeno ace and two more kills by Buss. From that point, though, St. Thomas would gradually begin to chip away at the deficit, eventually getting within one point as they trailed by just 22-21. Luckily, the Mavericks shutdown any hopes of a fifth set by responding with three straight points, including the 17th of the day from Buss to close out the match.
