Mavericks Hosts Midland for Monday Meeting

OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks host Midland for their lone match this week. The Warriors and Mavericks meet on Monday, Sept. 20. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Omaha is coming off its first win of the year following their California road trip. Their losing skid came to an end with a 0-0 draw at UC Irvine. They then picked up their first win at CSUN in overtime. Malik Elmi netted his second goal of the season and first career game winner to down the Matadors.

  • The Mavericks earned their first win of the season at CSUN last week. Elmi netted his second goal and first career game winner in the 98th minute. Mitch Hammer send a corner kick into the box for Elmi to head past the goalkeeper.

Scouting Midland
The Warriors are 4-2 entering this weeks action. They picked up wins vs. Iowa Wesleyan, Tabor, Kansas Wesleyan, and Presentation. Midland dominated Presentation with a 7-0 shutout. Five different players scored in the match. The Warriors already have more wins this season than they did last season. Midland finished 2020 action 3-10-1 overall.
