OMAHA, Neb. - Head men's and women's golf coach
Seth Porter has announced the addition of
Victoria Grasso to the coaching staff. Grasso began her assistant coaching duties prior to the start of 2021-22 action.
"I'm excited to have Coach Grasso join our staff," said Porter. "I got to know her when she was a player at South Dakota and appreciated her grit and personality as a player. She is going to do great things in Omaha.Coach Sidzyik was with me for eight of my 10 years at UNO and it was sad to see him move on, but I'm excited to see what Coach Grasso will bring to the program, not only for the women's team, but both teams. She is going to be an absolute rock star in this profession. We are lucky to get her on the ground floor of her career. Coach Grasso knows how to play the game and get her players better."
Grasso will assist both the men's and women's golf programs at Omaha.
Before Omaha, Grasso spent two years at Grandview as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the women's golf program. With the team, Grasso coordinated team travel and scheduling, daily practice planning, and led recruiting efforts.
Prior to Grandview, Grasso led the women's golf program at William Penn as the interim head coach for two seasons, while ranking as high as 16th in NAIA national polls. As head coach, Grasso oversaw recruiting, scheduling, and fundraising. She managed player development, both in training and education. In addition, Grasso ran the social media pages for women's golf across all platforms.
As an athlete, Grasso golfed for South Dakota, earning a varsity letter in all four years with the coyotes. Grasso also made the Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.
Grasso most recently finished a master's in business leadership at William Penn. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Sports Science from South Dakota, as well as a minor in social media marketing.
