AMES, Iowa - The Mavericks bounced back Sunday afternoon with a sweep over Drake. Omaha took the first set 25-10 and the final two 25-17.
With the win Omaha improves to 1-1 after the first week of play.
Set by Set
- The Bulldogs took the first two points, before the Mavericks responded with a seven-point rally led by Sadie Limback with two kills in the run. Omaha closed the first set with a 11-1 run to win 25-10. Three different players tallied kills in the run, while Sami Clarkson recorded back-to-back aces.
- The second set saw five lead changes early before Omaha pulled ahead with an ace from Jaiden Centeno and two straight kills from Rachel Fairbanks. The Mavericks then used a 5-1 run to lead 11-6 midway through. Omaha and Drake traded point for much of the second half of the set. Omaha used a kill from Marriah Buss and an ace from Shayla McCormick to take the set 25-17.
- Omaha jumped out to an early 7-2 win vs. Drake in the third set. The Bulldogs got within two four different times. A kill from Emily Plock cut Omaha's lead to 16-14. Fairbanks tallied a kill on the next play to spark a 3-0 run for the Mavericks. Three straight errors from Drake closed the match as Omaha took set three 25-17.

- The Mavericks led the match in kills (41-22), aces (7-0), blocks (8-3), assists (39-21), and digs (48-36).
- Claire Mountjoy led Omaha wit 15 digs. she added one assist.
- Fairbanks recorded 11 kills and fell short of a double-double with eight digs.
- Clarkson tallied 38 of Omaha's 39 assists. She added two service aces.
- Limback added nine kills, while Buss and Lakyn Graves had six each.
