DENVER, Colo. – The third-seeded Omaha men's tennis team fell 4-0 to top-seeded Denver in the Summit League Championship Final on Saturday afternoon in Denver, Colo.
The Mavericks conclude the 2021 season with a 13-17 record while the Pioneers advance to the NCAA Tournament with a 16-3 mark.
Doubles Play
Denver tallied a 6-3 win in the No. 1 spot and a 6-2 victory in the No. 3 spot to clinch the doubles point over the Mavericks.
Singles Play
The Pioneers collected straight-set wins over
Philip Olsson in the No. 5 spot and
Davis Lawley in the No. 4 spot to extend the lead to 3-0. Denver clinched the match with a straight-set win over
Hugo Piles Ballester in the No. 3 match.
