OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's tennis team posted a 6-1 victory over Oral Roberts on Friday afternoon at Koch Tennis Center.
The win moves the Mavericks to 11-16 (2-2 Summit League) while the Golden Eagles fall to 2-13 (0-5).
Doubles Play
Matt Hulme and
Abdoul Ouattara notched a 6-4 win in the No. 1 spot while
Ethan Henry and
Philip Olsson tallied a 6-4 victory in the No. 3 spot to clinch the doubles point for the Mavericks.
Singles Play
Ouattara and Olsson collected straight-set victories in the No. 2 and No. 5 matches to stretch the Omaha advantage to 3-0.
Davis Lawley picked up a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the No. 4 spot to clinch the match while
Alvaro Quintana earned a 6-4, 6-3 win in the No. 6 spot. Hulme dropped his first set before battling back with victories in the second and third sets to clinch the 6-1 victory over the Golden Eagles.
