Kady Eller picks up her first career weekly honor as Diver of the Week, while sophomore
Caroline Gardner earns her first Swimmer of the Week honor.
Eller was Omaha's top finisher in both diving events at Northern Iowa last weekend. The Phoenix, Arizona native placed third in the one-meter dive with a score of 221.92, and she place second in the three-meter dive with a score of 231.22. Eller's three-meter score is her second best score in the event this season.
Gardner placed first in an individual event and helped two relays to second place finishes at Northern Iowa for the Swimmer of the Week honor. The Plymouth, Minnesota native posted a time of 1:06.08 in the 100-yard breaststroke to place first.
Gardner swam the second leg of the 200-yard medley and the 200-yard freestyle relays to help the Mavericks to second place finishes. In the medley, Gardner posted a time of 30.45 helping the team finish with a time of 1:50.87. In the freestyle, Gardner's leg was a time of 25.65 as Omaha posted a team time of 1:43.47.
The Mavericks return to action mid-April at the Summit League Championships in West Fargo, North Dakota.
