Mavericks Battle Kansas City in Home Debut at Baxter

The Omaha volleyball team plays its first home matches at Baxter Arena this season with two matches against Kansas City. The Mavericks take on the Roos on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m. and on Monday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

  • Head coach Christi Posey is in her 10th season at Kansas City and has a record of 147-118 with the Roos.

Kansas City leads the all-time series over the Mavericks, 7-6-1. In their last meeting, Omaha posted a 3-1 win over the Roos in the Omaha Challenge on August 31, 2018 in Baxter Arena.
 
Mavericks in Home Openers at Baxter
Omaha is 3-2 all-time in home openers at Baxter Arena. The Mavericks swept Western Illinois in three matches in their debut at Baxter on Nov. 1, 2015.
 
Omaha has won the last two home openers in Baxter with victories over Abilene Christian in 2019 and Kansas City in 2018.
 
Looking Ahead
The Mavericks travel to Vermillion, S.D., for two matches at South Dakota on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 14-15.
