SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –
McKenna Ruch picked up her first weekly honor of her career being named the TicketSmarter Summit League Defensive Player of the Week.
Last week, Ruch led the team in blocks with 13 total and averaged 2.17 blocks per set. She also added eight digs between the two matches.
The sophomore notched four blocks vs. North Dakota State and tallied another nine blocks vs. North Dakota, tying the Summit League season high blocks in a 3 set match.
In addition to her defensive efforts, she also led the team with 10 kills on a .769 hitting percentage in the match against North Dakota State.
