OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha men's soccer dropped a close match in its final non-conference meeting of the season to Campbell, 1-0. The Camels put the game winner away in the 71st minute to take the shutout Wednesday night.
The Mavericks fall to 5-9-1 overall.
How It Happened
- Stevie Siy and Hugo Kametani opened Wednesday's action with a pair of shots for Omaha within 30 seconds of each other. Siy's went high right at the 5:33 mark, while Kametani put one on target at the six-minute mark.
- The Camels put their first shot on goal in the 28th minute, but Nathanael Sallah tallied his first save of the match.
- Omaha tallied six total shots in the first half to Campbell's three, but the match remained deadlocked, 0-0.
- Lute Lillo Portero started the second half of Wednesday's action and made his first stop in the 51st minute when Moses Mensah fired a shot on goal.
- On Campbell's next attempt, Mensah helped set up Gerard Broussard for the game winning goal. Mensah sent a cross into the box for Broussard who used one touch to find the back of the net.
- Dominik Danis recorded the first Omaha attempt two minutes later, but it would be saved by Edu Rodriguez. Mikkel Fodstad tallied a shot in the 89th minute in a final effort to force overtime, but the Camels held on for a 1-0 win.

- Fodstad led Omaha with three shots Wednesday night, while Kenji Mboma Dem added two shots.
- Seven other Mavericks recorded a shot in the contest, including Nil Ayats who made his season debut after being sidelined with an injury.
