OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha men's soccer team will host two more home matches this week to complete the regular season. First on the slate is a non-conference meeting between the Mavericks and the Camels from Campbell. Kickoff is set for Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. Omaha will then host Western Illinois on Saturday, Nov. 6 for the league closer. Both the Mavericks and Leathernecks are in the hunt for a postseason berth as the season winds down.

Quick Kicks
- The Mavericks won their first ever match at Denver Saturday night upsetting the Summit League leader 2-0. It also marked the first win vs. the Pioneers since the 2014 season. The Mavericks previously beat the Pioneers for a Summit League Championship in 2017 on penalty kicks 9-8. The match ended in a 1-1 draw in double overtime.
- Mikkel Fodstand recorded his first career goal and game winner in the match. The sophomore forward scored in the 40th minute giving the Mavericks a 1-0 edge. Kenji Mboma Dem fired a shot on goal that went off the post. Fodstad capitalized on the rebound and found the back of the net.
- Mboma Dem doubled the lead in the 59th minute from the top of the box. Ed Gordon stole the ball off a Denver pass up the middle. He fed to to Mboma Dem who used one strike for the goal.
- With the win, the Mavericks moved up to third in the league standings with nine points in conference action.
- Nathanael Sallah was tabbed the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week following the win at DU. Sallah logged a complete game in goal. He made two saves, earned his fourth win, and posted his third shutout.
Scouting the Campbell Camels
The Camels are 12-3-2 overall and 7-0-1 in Big South play heading into the final week of regular season action. Campbell opened the year with a 3-1 win over No. 30 UNC-Greensboro. The Camels played to a 0-0 draw vs. High Point last weekend, and they picked up wins in their previous six matches. They beat their opponents 19-3 across those wins highlighted by a 6-1 win vs. Gardner-Webb.
Camels to Watch
- Tyler Young leads the camels with 27 points this season on nine goals and nine assists. The redshirt sophomore has two two-goal games this season. He netted a pair in the season opener vs. UNCG and scored another two at UNC Ashville. He also tallied an assist at Ashville for a five-point performance.
- Kemy Amiche adds 18 points on the year. He has five goals and eight assists. Amiche notched his first career assist at Saint Joseph's and followed up with his first career goal vs. Old Dominion two games later.
- Edu Rodriguez has started every match in goal for the Camels. He has a .93 goals against average and four shutouts. Rodriguez has a .714 save percentage and 40 saves.
Scouting the Western Illinois Leathernecks
The Leathernecks are 2-12-1 overall and 2-3-0 in league play. A win will help them clinch a spot in the league tournament hosted on their home turf this season. WIU earned league wins vs. St. Thomas, 2-1, and vs. Eastern Illinois, 1-0. Their one draw of the season was on Oct. 18 at Bradley.
Leathernecks to Watch
- Arian Mehran leads the Leathernecks with two goals for four points this season. He has 13 shots and is tied as the team leader with seven shots on goal.
- Jesse Agyekum and Daisuke Otsuka have three points each with a goal and assist on the year. Otsuka is the team leader with 15 shot attempts this season.
- Alex Flowers has made 13 starts in goal this year. He has a 2.17 goals against average and two shutouts. Flowers has 60 saves this season with a .682 save percentage.

Omaha and Campbell met once before and played to a draw, while the Mavericks hold a 9-2-1 edge vs. the Leathernecks.
