OMAHA, Neb. - The Mavericks defeated South Dakota State and South Dakota on the road to keep the number one spot in the Summit League. They head into their final two games of the regular season on the road against Oral Roberts on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Kansas City on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Scouting the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles
The Golden Eagles are 17-8 overall and 11-5 in conference play. Oral Roberts is on a three-game win streak after wins over Kansas City, Western Illinois and St. Thomas. They currently rank number one in blocking in the Summit League with an average 2.42 blocks per set and also in assists with 12.69 assists per set.
 
Golden Eagles to Watch
• Sakira LaCour- Leads the team and the league in blocks with 124.0 and averaging 1.38 per set.
• Trinity Freeman- Leads ORU in kills with 251 on a .248 hitting percentage. 
• Bryanne Soares- Runs the offense with 876 assists on the season and adds 239 digs and 20 service aces.
 
 
Scouting the Kansas City Roos
Kansas City had a two game home series in which they won a three-set match against St. Thomas and a four-set match against Western Illinois. Kansas City holds a 19-9 overall record and a 10-6 conference record. The Roos are currently ranked third in the league in digs, assists, and service aces.
 
Roos to Watch
• Melanie Brecka- Leads the team in kills with 386 and is coming in with a Summit League Offensive Player of the Week title.
• Alli Schomers- Leads the team and the league in assists with 1151 and an average 11.07 assists per set.
• Maddie Renn- Is the team leader in digs with 480 and leads the league with an average 4.62 digs per set.
