Mavericks Set For Oral Roberts and San Francisco

OMAHA, Neb. - Both the Mavericks and Golden Eagles enter the week undefeated in league action. The teams will face-off at Caniglia Field Saturday, October 16 at 7 p.m. Omaha will then host San Francisco for the Dons' first match since Oct. 9 on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. The Mavericks are coming off a 2-1 conference win at Eastern Illinois last week, while the Eagles have won their last three vs. St. Thomas, Central Arkansas, and Western Illinois. The Dons look for their second win of the year.

Quick Kicks
• The Mavericks split their matches last week with a 1-0 overtime loss to RV Indiana and a 2-1 win vs. Eastern Illinois.
Hugo Kametani knotted the match at EIU in the 26th minute with his first goal of the season on an assist from Luke Smith
Naz Astwood then gave Omaha the lead in the 77th minute with his first career goal. Kenji Mboma Dem recorded the assist on the game winner.
• With the win, Nathanael Sallah improved to 3-2-0 in goal for Omaha. He has wins vs. Midland, Kansas City, and Eastern Illinois. Midland and UMKC go down as shutouts for the freshman goalkeeper.
• Kametani sits second in the Summit League with 2.5 shots per game and 1.3 shots on goal per game.
• Omaha sits fourth in the league leaderboards with .70 goals averaged per match, while Malik Elmi is tied third with two goals on the year.
• As a team, the Mavericks are averaging 11.10 shots per game which ranks third overall.

Scouting the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles
Oral Roberts is 8-1-1 overall and one of the three remaining undefeated teams in league action with a 2-0-1 record. The Golden Eagles' lone loss of the year came at the hands of No. 17/16 Loyola Marymount. Since the loss, ORU won seven matches and tied Kansas City, 1-1, in their league opener.

Golden Eagles to Watch
• Dante Brigida leads ORU and the league with 13 points this season. He also has a league leading six goals, 33 shots, and 16 shots on goal. 
• Reed Berry and Felipe D'Agostini add seven points each this season for the Golden Eagles. Berry has three goals and one assist, while D'Agonstini adds two goals and three assists.
• Miles Motakef has started every match for ORU in goal. He has a .68 goals against average with a .794 save percentage and 27 saves. Motakef has five shutouts on the year.

Scouting the San Francisco Dons
The Dons are 1-7-1 overall and 0-1-0 in the WCC. San Francisco won their season oepned on Aug. 26 vs. Sacramento State before falling in seven straight matches. The Dons snapped their losing streak with a 2-2- overtime draw vs. St. Mary's last weekend.

Dons to Watch
• Nonson Adimabua leads the Dons with eight points on four goals this season. He also has a team-leading 24 shots with 10 on goal.
• Shayan Charalaghi is the only other Don with multiple goals on the year. He scored one vs. UCLA and one vs. St. Mary's.
