TULSA, Okla. – The Omaha men's tennis team fell 6-1 at Tulsa on Sunday afternoon.
The loss drops the Mavericks to 2-4 on the season while the Golden Hurricane improve to 3-2.
Doubles Play
Tulsa took the first two matches to clinch the doubles point while
Philip Olsson and
Julian Kenzlers were a tough challenge for their opponents, falling 6-5 in the No. 3 match.
Singles Play
Hugo Piles Ballester collected Omaha's lone point of the match with a three-set victory in the No. 4 match. Piles Ballester won the first match 6-4 before falling 6-1 in the second set to Stefan Hampe. In the third set, Piles Ballester posted a 1-0 (10-7) victory to clinch the three-set victory for the Mavericks. Tulsa won the other five singles matches in straight sets to post the 6-1 victory.

The Mavericks host Air Force on Friday, Feb. 5 and Northern Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 6 at Miracle Hill Tennis Center.
