SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha senior earned Summit League Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced Tuesday.
Ouattara went a perfect 4-0 on the weekend at the No. 1 and 2 spots to help Omaha sweep Marquette.
"We are really happy for Abdoul to receive this weekly award. After battling an offseason injury, he has come back with a strong start early this season by being undefeated in both singles and doubles with his partner
Matt Hulme. It is definitely a blessing having Abdoul back for a fifth year this season and we are looking forward to watching him accomplish more in the upcoming weeks."
The Bouake, Ivory Coast, native teamed up with Hulme to capture a pair of doubles wins in the No. 1 spot. In singles action, Ouattara posted a victory in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots on the weekend.
The Mavericks return to action on Sunday, Jan. 31 at Tulsa.
