FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Matt Hulme led the Omaha men's tennis team at Arkansas on Saturday, tallying a singles victory in the Mavericks' 6-1 loss.
 
With Saturday's result, the Mavericks fall to 0-3 on the season.
 
Doubles Play
The Razorbacks earned the doubles point after posting victories in the No. 2 and No. 3 matches. Action in the No. 1 match did not finish with the first two matches won by Arkansas.
 
Singles Play
Arkansas tacked on five more points in singles action, coming away victorious in five of the six matches. Matt Hulme notched his first career victory as a Maverick with a two-set (6-4, 6-2) victory over Jose D. Alonso. Abdoul Ouattara nearly came away with a win in the No. 1 match with Alex Reco. Ouattara won the second set, 6-4, before losing in a third-set heartbreaker, 12-10.

The Mavericks play their first home matches of the season next weekend. Omaha hosts Creighton on Friday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. before playing Saint Louis on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. Both matches are to be played at Miracle Hill Tennis Center.
