OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha volleyball program wrapped up its annual Black and White Scrimmage Saturday afternoon inside Baxter Arena.
"It was fun to play in a game-like environment for the first time this year," said head coach
Matt Buttermore. "Despite being short staffed due to quarantines, we were happy with our energy and effort. We've made good progress on a number of things we've been working on."
In a four-set match, both the Black and White team ended with a 2-2 tie (25-23, 18-25, 27-25, 20-25). Omaha White claimed the first and third sets, while Omaha Black won the second and fourth.
At libero,
Claire Mountjoy totaled 19 digs while
Giselle Eiche recorded 11. Eiche also had a team-high three service aces.
Splitting sides at middle,
Anna Blaschko had 15 total kills and
Rylee Marshall recorded 10. Blaschko and Marshall also combined for 15 total blocks.
Kayla Haynes followed with eight kills.
Sadie Limback tallied a team-high 24 kills and
Claire Leonard recorded 11. At setter,
Sami Clarkson totaled 48 assists while assistant coach
Maggie Baumert tallied 33.
