SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League office announced junior libero Claire Mountjoy as the league's Defensive Player of the Week for her performances over the opening weekend.
Mountjoy notched a total of 64 digs, that included 5.82 digs per set. She currently leads the league in total digs and ranks second in digs per set.
The weekly honor also marks the first of her career.
Over the weekend, Mountjoy helped her team to a 3-0 start on the season, which included 29 digs in the third match against UAlbany, helping her team outperform the Great Danes in team digs, 73-58.
