DENVER, Colo. – Omaha dropped a hard-fought 6-1 men's tennis match against Denver on Friday at the Denver Tennis Center.
The Pioneers started the match by taking the doubles point.
Nathan Reekie and
Davis Lawley fell 6-0 on court one, while
Abdoul Ouattara and
Matt Dunn lost 6-3.
Denver prevailed in five of the six singles matches to take the match. Reekie picked up Omaha's lone singles victory with a 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (6) win at No. 3. DU's Pedro Del Valle defeated Lawley in three sets 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. Ouattara fell 7-6 (5), 7-5 to Mattia Ros at No. 1.
Omaha concludes the season 8-17 overall and 1-5 in the Summit League.
