Men's Tennis Falls at Pepperdine, 7-0

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's tennis team wrapped up its Spring Break trip, falling 7-0 to Pepperdine on Wednesday at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center.  With the loss, the Mavericks are now 7-10 overall, while the Waves move to 4-8.

Pepperdine won two doubles matches to claim the doubles point.  Nathan Reekie and Davis Lawley fell 6-0 at No. 1 to Adrian Oetzbach and Tim Zeitvogel.  Corrado Summaria and Enrique Luque Rico claimed a 6-3 victory over Abdoul Ouattara and Matt Dunn to take the point.

Omaha was unable to stem the tide in singles play as Pepperdine won all six matches.  Henry fell 4-6, 6-0, 10-7 to Pawel Jankowiak at No. 6.  Dunn lost a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Zeitvogel at No. 5.  At No. 1, Ouattara lost 6-4, 6-1 to Oetzbach.

Omaha returns to Summit League play next weekend, hosting Oral Roberts at the Miracle Hill Tennis Center on Friday, March 29 at 6 p.m.
