DENVER, Colo. – The Omaha women's tennis program was stifled by a 7-0 decision on the road at No. 49 Denver in its Summit League opener.
Denver earned the doubles point as
Natalie Lorentz and
Savanna Crowell fell 6-2 at No. 1, and
Marie Kapelevich and
Clare Crockett dropped a 6-2 decision at No. 3.
The Mavericks were then swept in singles action.
Janelle Wilson fell 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 and Kapelevich was topped 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. At No. 3, Lorentz fell in straight sets 6-2, 6-2, while Crowell fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4. At No. 5,
Emily Behling was defeated 6-1, 6-0 and
Clare Crockett fought hard, but was topped 6-2, 6-4 at No. 6 singles.
