SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Despite playing the final 93 minutes a man down and being outshot 22-6, the Omaha men's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw at San Diego State on Friday night.
 
The draw pushes Omaha to 3-8-4 on the year while the Aztecs move to 4-11-2 on the season.
 
How It Happened

• Marcos Bautista took Omaha's first shot of the night, but his attempt was rejected by the Aztec keeper.
• The Mavericks remained the aggressor early as Diego Gutierrez fired the Mavericks' second shot in the 16^th minute that resulted in a save by SDSU's goalkeeper.
• Omaha's Billy Hoffmann was handed a red card in the 17^th minute, resulting in the Mavericks playing a man down for the remainder of the match.
• Maverick goalkeeper tallied one save in the first half to keep the Aztecs off the board through the first half.
• Senior Ugo Tritz recorded four saves while playing the second half for the Mavericks.
• Pep Mateu had a header attempt in the 85^th minute and Diego Gutierrez fired a strike in the 86^th minute, but both attempts were denied, sending the match into extra time with a scoreless draw.
• SDSU recorded a 3-0 advantage in shots over the Mavericks in the first overtime.
