OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha volleyball program sets its focus on The Summit League Championship presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare.
 
The No. 4 seeded Mavericks begin with a 4 p.m. (CST) matchup against No. 5 North Dakota State Friday, Nov. 22, at Hamilton Gymnasium in Denver, Colo.
 
OPENING SERVE
• Omaha takes on the Bison for the third-straight year in The Summit League Championship quarterfinal.
• The Mavericks aim to stop a two-match skid to the Bison, who have ended the Mavericks' season in the opening round the past two years.
• This will be the third-straight tournament appearance for the Mavericks and the fourth-overall in The Summit League.
• For the second-straight year, Omaha swept the Bison during the regular season.
• Omaha has never been the No. 4 seed at The Summit League Championship before.
• The Mavericks rank in the top-two in seven different statistical categories and lead the league in three.
• Omaha ranks eighth in the nation for assists (1,472), ninth in kills (1,567) and 10th in service aces (194).
Anna Blaschko leads the league in hitting percentage at .396, while Isabella Sade leads the team with 3.55 kills per set, which ranks fourth overall in the league.
Sadie Limback ranks fifth in the league at 3.48 kills per set behind Sade, and is on a streak of 16 consecutive matches of double-digit kills.
Sami Clarkson's recent 48 assists and 12 digs gives the fresh­­­man nine double-doubles this season.
• Clarkson also ranks second in the league with 11.41 assists p­­er set.
• The winner of the conference tournament earns an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
• The Mavericks are looking for their first Summit League Tournament Championship in program history.
 
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
The winner of the opening-round match takes on No. 1 seed South Dakota Saturday, Nov. 23, at 4 p.m. (CST) in the semifinal. The championship match of the tournament is slated for Sunday, Nov. 24, at 3 p.m. (CST).
