Women's Tennis Signs Colby Kelley

OMAHA, Neb. – Director of Tennis Adam Summitt announced the signing of Colby Kelley to the Maverick women's tennis program today.

"We are very excited and grateful to have Colby join our tennis program," said Summitt. "She is everything you would want from a coach's perspective.  She is brilliant in the classroom, which stands out the most to me.  She has an incredible work ethic, is goal driven and easily motivated. Colby is the right fit for our culture and program. I know she is going to make an impact here and I can't wait to get started working with her."

Kelley joins the Mavericks from Liberty, Mo., where she attended Liberty High School. A four-year letterwinner for the Blue Jays, she helped her team to its seventh-straight district championship and, individually, won the Class 2 Missouri Singles State Championship. As a senior, her singles record was 27-2. Kelley also qualified for state and was named team captain all four years. A member of the National Honor Society, she was also named an AP Scholar Award recipient.
