Mavericks Close Out Regular Season This Weekend

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha volleyball program closes out the 2019 regular season with a pair of road matches this weekend at Denver and South Dakota State. 

The Mavericks take on the Pioneers Friday, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. (CST) and follow up with a 1 p.m. showdown against the Jackrabbits Sunday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. 
 
OPENING SERVE
• Omaha is coming off a 2-0 weekend where the team picked up a crucial 3-1 win at Purdue Fort Wayne and a 3-0 sweep over Western Illinois a few days later. 
• Omaha has secured at least the No. 4 seed in the league tournament next week. 
• The team aims to move up in the standings with a pair of wins and a Purdue Fort Wayne loss this weekend. 
• Omaha previously fell 3-2 at home against the Pioneers back on Oct. 15. The Mavericks defeated SDSU in a sweep at home on Oct. 21. 
• Omaha trails the all-time series 14-1 against Denver. 
• The Mavericks lead 43-20 all-time against South Dakota State. 
Sadie Limback is coming off her 14th straight match of double-digit kills. 
Anna Blaschko leads the league with a .400 hitting percentage in league play. 
Isabella Sade averages a team-best 3.56 kills per set, followed by Limback with 3.46 in conference action. 
Claire Mountjoy ranks third in the league with 4.51 digs per set and second in total digs with 496. 
Rachel Fairbanks had 10 blocks at Purdue Fort Wayne and followed up with a match-high 13 kills on .500 hitting. It marked the first time this season that the true freshman led the team in kills. 

LOOKING AHEAD
Omaha gears up for The Summit League Championship, which takes place in Denver, Colo., at Hamilton Gymnasium Nov. 22-24. Tournament seeding and times are to be announced.
