OMAHA, Neb. – Senior
Gonzalo Ledesma scored his first career goal as a Maverick while Omaha picked up its second consecutive Summit League victory with a 1-0 win over Purdue Fort Wayne at Caniglia Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Mavericks improve to 3-6-2 (2-0-0) on the season while the Mastodons drop to 3-10-0 (0-2-0).

How It Happened
- Diego Gutierrez nearly put the Mavericks ahead early in the first half when his free kick from about 20 yards out just missed the inside of the right post.
- Omaha remained the aggressor in the first half, tallying a 7-1 advantage in shots in the scoreless first 45 minutes.
- Ed Gordon sent the ball towards the center of the field atop the box to Aaron Uribe who tapped the ball to a crashing Ledesma on the right side.
- Ledesma chipped the ball around the diving Mastodon goalkeeper to give the Mavericks a 1-0 lead.
- Mitch Hammer almost doubled the advantage in the 76th minute, but his attempt blasted off the left woodwork.
