SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Omaha women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to conference opponent Denver Friday evening, ending the Mavericks' three-game league win streak. The loss drops Omaha to 12-10 (3-1 Summit League) on the season, while the Pioneers improve to 15-4 (3-0).
DU claimed the first point of the match by winning at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The No. 1 match went unfinished, with
Michelle Lo and
Janelle Wilson leading Julia O'Loughlin and Gracia Mboka, 3-2.
The hot play continued for Denver into singles action as it captured all six matches to secure victory.
Omaha returns to action on Saturday, April 14, facing South Dakota State at Noon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
