Mavericks Fall to Colorado State, 7-0

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Omaha women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Colorado State Saturday afternoon.  With the loss, the Mavericks are now 5-7 on the season.
 
The Rams claimed the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead heading into singles play. The No. 3 pair of Janelle Wilson and Marie Kapelevich lost to Emma Corwin and Riley Reeves, 6-1.  The No. 1 match between Michelle Lo and Natalie Lorentz versus Priscilla Palmero and Alyssa Grijalva went unfinished with the Rams ahead, 5-2.
 
Colorado State swept the singles matches to capture the 7-0 victory. Grijalva took the No. 3 match from Kapelevich, 6-2, 4-6, 10-6, while Lorentz lost to Emily Kolbow at No. 4, 6-3, 6-4, and Emily Behling fell short to Corwin at No. 5, 6-3, 7-5.
 
Omaha returns to action on Sunday, March 4 at 11 a.m. CT, taking on Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo.
