LINCOLN, Neb. – The Omaha men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to Nebraska on Saturday morning at the Dillon Family Tennis Center.
The Huskers swept doubles action, winning at No. 1 and No. 3. At the No. 1 spot,
Abdoul Ouattara and
Nathan Reekie fell 6-1 to Toby Boyer and Linus Erhart. NU clinched the doubles point when Isaac Nortey and William Grattan Smith topped
Matt Dunn and
Luke Moorhead 6-4.
Nebraska rode its success into singles play, winning three singles matches in straight sets to clinch the dual victory.
Marko Minic fell 6-2, 6-0, at the No. 6 slot, Ouattara fell 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2, and
Alex Woodward lost a 6-3, 6-0 decision at No. 5.
Omaha will be back in action at home on Sunday, Feb. 11, hosting three matches. The day starts with a match against North Dakota at 10 a.m. followed by matches against Doane and Midland.
