OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha men's golf head coach
Seth Porter announced today the signing of Josh Bartels to a national letter of intent. Bartels will join the team for the 2019-20 season.
"Josh is another good local player," said Porter. "He is very consistent and steady. He is one of the best junior players in the state whose best golf is ahead of him."
A native of Lincoln, Neb., Bartels is a three-year letter winner for Lincoln Southwest with his senior season upcoming this spring. As a junior, he finished in the NSAA Class A State Championship Top 10 and was a member of the boys golf super-state team. He placed fifth in the Nebraska Junior Amateur tournament. As a sophomore, he was the Class A-1 District individual champion.
Bartels plans to major in business at UNO.
