Inside Set 1
Omaha found the spark it needed early in the set with a 5-1 run to take a 10-8 lead. After the Coyotes led 18-15 in the set, the Mavericks rallied with another 5-1 spurt keyed by an ace by Sadie Limback. Four straight points at the end of the set sealed it for the Mavericks after back-to-back kills by Abby Bergsten and Limback.

Inside Set 2
South Dakota dominated the second set to even the match at 1-1. A 7-0 run put Omaha in a 12-5 deficit and forced a timeout. Another 9-1 Coyote run late in the set resulted in a 25-10 win for South Dakota.

Inside Set 3
Omaha regrouped in the third set and pulled off a gutsy 26-24 set win. Despite a 5-0 South Dakota run early in the set, the Mavericks weathered the storm and tied it at 6-all. Down 23-20, Omaha called timeout and gathered itself together. That timeout preceded four straight points for the Mavericks off a pair of Coyote attack errors and kills by Blaschko and Bergsten. The final kill came from Blaschko, who sealed the 26-24 set win and helped Omaha lead 2-1 in the match.

Inside Set 4
Down 6-4 early on, Omaha recorded five straight points sparked by another Blaschko kill. Once again, Omaha found itself in a deficit late in the set. Down 22-21, head coach Rose Shires called timeout. After the break, Claire Leonard found the open gap and notched a kill that sparked a 4-1 run that sealed the match, 25-23, for Omaha.
