VALENTINE, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team is in 11th place following the second round of The Jackrabbit hosted by South Dakota State on Monday at The Prairie Club.
The Mavericks shot a team round of 305 and now have a total score of 609 after 36 holes. UCF leads the event with a total of 561. Kansas is second at 564, and Idaho is third at 584.
Kevin Gordon, who carded a 67 in round one, shot three-over 75 on Monday and is now tied for sixth overall in the field of 73 golfers with a total of 142.
Nick Kagy is second on the team and tied for 54th with a total of 156. He shot 78 in round two.
Witchayapat Sinsrang also shot 78 in the middle round and is tied with
Thirawat Chantrakantanond for third on the team and 60th overall at 157. Chantrakantanond carded a 77 in round two.
Cole Christain rounded out the scoring for the Mavericks, shooting 75 for a two-round total of 158. He's tied for 64th.
The final round begins at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
