MADISON, Ill. – The Omaha men's golf team shot the second-best team round in school history to move up to a seventh-place finish at the Derek Dolenc Invitational at SIUE on Tuesday.

Junior Kevin Gordon led the way, firing a two-under score of 69 in round three to finish at 216 for the 54-hole event, just three over par.  The 68 ties the mark he shares with Ben Maskus for second-best round in school history.  He finished 15th in the field of 95 golfers.

Sam Musch was second for the Mavericks and tied for 39th overall with a score 225.  He fired a two-over score of 73 on Tuesday.  Bank Chantrakantanond was just one stroke back at 226 after finishing with his own round of 73.  He tied for 44th.

David Huxham carded a 77 in the final round to post a score of 229, good for a tie for 54th.  Cole Christain completed the scoring with an even-par round of 71 that put him a 242 for the tournament.
