OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team will take part in its third tournament of the season when it tees off in the Loyola Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 18-19.
The Mavericks will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday at the Flossmoor Country Club in Flossmoor, Ill.
UNO is coming off a 12th-place finish at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial at Missouri State earlier this week. In that tournament, the Mavericks shot a Division I-best team score of 305 in the first round. Junior
Jordan York led the team in scoring with a 54-hole score of 234, a career best.
Through two events during the fall season, senior
Megan Vetrovsky leads the team with a stroke average of 77.2 that includes three rounds at the season-opening UNO Invitational on Sept. 1-2. York is second in scoring for the team with a stroke average of 78.5.
Following their trip to Loyola, the Mavericks will have a week off before taking part in the Chip-N Club Invitational at Nebraska on Sunday through Tuesday, Oct. 1-3.
