OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha volleyball team concluded preseason preparations Saturday evening, hosting its annual Black/White Scrimmage at Sapp Fieldhouse.
Omaha White prevailed 3-1 in the match. Omaha Black took the opening set, 25-18, before Omaha White rebounded for wins of 25-20, 25-23 and 28-26 over the next three games.

Sydney O'Shaughnessy and sophomore outside hitter
Chloe Dousette each tallied a double-double for Omaha Black. O'Shaughnessy finished with 39 assists and 13 digs with four kills and two blocks, while Dousette had 10 kills and 10 digs.
Junior outside hitter
Mackenzie Horkey added a match-high 18 kills with four digs and a block for the Black squad. Freshman libero
Claire Mountjoy scooped a team-leading 17 digs for the night, and sophomore right side hitter
Meagen Roth joined her in double figures with 12 more.
Junior outside hitter
Abby Bergsten appeared on both sides and finished with 11 kills, while freshman middle hitter
Anna Blaschko had a combined eight kills and four blocks. Sophomore middle hitter
Daria Taylor chipped in a combined five blocks and three kills, and senior middle blocker
Amanda Conlin put up a combined four stops at the net alongside five more kills.
Omaha kicks off the 2017 season next weekend at the Iowa State Challenge in Ames, Iowa. The Mavericks open with New Mexico on Friday, Aug. 25 at 4 p.m., followed by a pair of matches on Saturday, Aug. 26 with host Iowa State at Noon and Kent State at 4 p.m. Live stats and video, as available, will be linked on OMavs.com.
