OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Omaha men's golf team is eleventh following the opening two rounds of the Bill Ross Intercollegiate at UMKC.
The Mavericks shot team scores of 300 and 303 for a 36-hole total of 603 at the Milburn Country Club.  Grand Canyon leads the event with a score of 572, two strokes ahead of host UMKC.  South Dakota is third at 577.
David Huxham shot an even-par round of 72 to open the tournament and followed with a score of 74 in the afternoon for a total of 146.  He leads the Mavericks and is tied for 13th overall.  
Sam Musch shot 76-75-151 to put him second on the team and in a tie for 45th place.
Kevin Gordon carded rounds of 75 and 77 to put him at 152, good for third on the team and in a tie for 52nd.  He's two strokes ahead of teammate 
Kelly Brown who has a total score of 154.  He shot matching rounds of 77.
Bank Chantrakantanond completed the scoring for UNO with a score of 157 that featured rounds of 78 and 79.
The final round begins at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
