POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The Omaha men's golf team finished 11th at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Tuesday, wrapping up their fall season.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 294 in the final round of the 54-hole event to finish at 870, 18 over par.  Campbell won for the third straight year, posting a tournament record score of 821, 31 under par.  Ball State was second at 835, and host Old Dominion was third at 848.
Kevin Gordon led the Mavericks and posted a top-10 finish with a score of 209, four under par.  He shot one-under 70 on Tuesday and tied for 8th in the field of 93 golfers.  It was his second top-10 finish of the fall.
Cole Christain was second on the team and tied for 35th overall with a four-over par score of 217.  He concluded play with a round of 76.
Sam Musch was three strokes behind Christain at 220, a career best.  His total score included a final round of 74 to help him finish in a tie for 46th.
David Huxham and 
Bank Chantrakantanond both shot 75 in the final round and finished 4-5 in team scoring with totals of 226 and 231 respectively.  Huxham tied for 75th while Chantrakantanond was 84th.
The tournament featured a school record team score of 282 shot in round two.  It marked the second straight year the Mavericks had set the school record in the tournament.
The Mavericks will resume play when the spring season begins at The Invitational at Savannah Harbor hosted by William and Mary at Savannah, Ga. on Feb. 17-18, 2018.
