POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The Omaha men's golf team holds down 15th place after the first round of the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Sunday.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 294 over the first round, putting them 10 over par.  It's the third-best 18-hole round shot by the team this fall.  Campbell leads the 54-hole event with a score of 270.  Host Old Dominion is second at 279, and Ball State is third, one stroke back.
Kevin Gordon shot an even-par round of 71 to lead the Mavericks and put him in a tie for 23rd in the large field of 93 golfers.
Cole Christain is second on the team and tied for 41st with a two-over round of 73.  That put him one stroke ahead of teammate 
Sam Musch who's tied for 53rd.
Bank Chantrakantanond carded a 76 to put him fourth for UNO and in a tie for 67th, and 
David Huxham completed the scoring with a round of 77, good for a tie for 76th.
The second round begins at 8:30 at the Kilmarlic Golf Club.
