The Mavericks struck early in the second half when Moulton headed home a pass from Logan Mendez to make it 4-1 in the 50th minute. Six minutes later, UCLA's Javan Torre scored to increase the UCLA lead to 5-1.

Da Silva capped the scoring in the 68th minute on an assist from Joe Marinkovich.

UCLA finished with a slight 13-9 shot advantage and had a 10-5 edge in shots on goal.

The Mavericks will finish the preseason with the Red-Black scrimmage on Saturday at 7 p.m. Admission is free to the public. UNO opens the regular season on Friday, Aug. 29 against Santa Clara at 7:30 p.m.
