Grant Warming joined Bob Warming's staff as an assistant coach for the Omaha men’s soccer program in 2018. He enters his fourth season in the fall of 2021.
Over his first three seasons with Omaha, Warming has helped the Mavericks compile an 18-20-6 overall record, and an 11-5-2 record in Summit League action. Warming has helped coached one All-America selection, two All-Region players, one Summit League Newcomer of the Year, one Summit League Defensive Player of the Year, seven All-Summit First Team selections, five All-Summit Second Team selections, nine All-Newcomer Team selections, and six All-Tournament Selections.
Warming returns to his hometown of Omaha after working for two years as the director of operations for Penn State men’s soccer in 2014 and 2016. Warming joined the staff after completing a four-year playing career at PSU under head coach Bob Warming in 2013. In 2015, he served as a volunteer assistant coach at UCLA, as well as head coach for u18 Boys Club FCLA.
Warming appeared in 73 career matches for Penn State, starting 64 as a midfielder. As a team captain in 2013, he led the Nittany Lions to the first back-to-back Big Ten titles in school history, as well as a trip to the Sweet 16. He also was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree, as well as a member of the 2013 Big Ten All-Tournament Team.
Upon graduating with his bachelor’s degree in economics, Warming founded The Training Triangle LLC, a soccer company with a global reach providing innovative products and training resources to coaches of all age groups and skill levels. Starting in 2012, he assisted in establishing Audrey’s Shoes for Kids, a charitable, non-profit foundation that provides free soccer shoes, socks, shinguards and an annual instructional clinic for at-risk youth in housing projects in the greater Omaha area.
