OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha women's basketball program announced its 2019-20 schedule Monday afternoon.

The Mavericks play a total of 16 games inside Baxter Arena and 14 on the road.

"We have finalized a non-conference schedule that is challenging and provides a lot of opportunities to be tested early," said head coach Brittany Lange. "We open up the season at home against Creighton, followed by Kansas and Kansas State on the road in two of our next three games. Our goal is to feel as prepared as possible by the time we reach Summit League play from a rotation, competition and health standpoint.  We play in one of the top mid-major conferences in the country and are very eager to continue to climb the Summit."

Hoops action begins with a home exhibition against Lakeland University Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m.

The 2019-20 campaign officially begins with a Tuesday, Nov. 5, showdown against Creighton at 7 p.m. inside Baxter Arena.

Omaha then hits the road to Kansas State Nov. 8, before the team heads back home for a Nov. 11 home contest against Peru State.

The second Power-Five game on the schedule has the Mavericks travel to Lawrence for a mid-week tilt at Kansas (Nov. 13). The Mavericks then take on Morgan State at home (Nov. 17), travel to Northern Kentucky (Nov. 21) and then continue further south to Hattiesburg, Miss., for the Southern Mississippi Classic Nov. 29-30.

Omaha plays four of its last five non-conference games inside Baxter Arena. The team takes on UMKC Dec. 4 at home that precedes a road trip to Eastern Illinois on Dec. 7. Three straight games inside Baxter Arena close out the non-conference slate against Northern Iowa (Dec. 10), Cleveland State (Dec. 15) and Graceland (Dec. 17).

The Summit League season begins with a pair of home games against South Dakota State (Dec. 29) and Oral Roberts (Jan. 4). Three-straight road trips follow against North Dakota (Jan. 9), South Dakota (Jan. 11) and Denver (Jan. 18). After the road stint, the Mavericks return with four consecutive home games against Western Illinois (Jan. 24), Purdue Fort Wayne (Jan. 26), South Dakota (Jan. 29) and North Dakota State (Feb. 6).

After the home stretch, the Omaha continues the second half of the league season at South Dakota State (Feb. 8) and at Oral Roberts (Feb. 13), before heading home for a Feb. 15 showdown against Denver. Two more road games at Western Illinois (Feb. 20) and Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 22) take place before the final home game on Thursday, Feb. 27 against North Dakota. The regular-season finale is Saturday, Feb. 29, at North Dakota State.

The 2020 Summit League Championship is set for March 7-10 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
